MONOTYPES
Monotypes / Ink on paper and textile / 2006

Capture of self emerged forms through a non manual printing technique where the random contributes to their creation. Depiction of what Paul Valery calls “living nature”. Images that arise from nature’s viewing – observation, without a mimetic character, free from the desire of the spirit. The use of natural raw materials such as goat fleece, cannabis and ink and also products of modern industry, such as fiberglass and plastic, reflect organic forms at a stage of their evolutionary process which is characterized by “static” motion and fluidity.

The printing technique creates an illusion and along with the sense of tangibility intensify their living character and remind records of life forms, as in the case of fossils that convey information from the past.
